Applied AI Lab: Human Judgment in an AI World

This third session moves from understanding AI conceptually to using it responsibly and effectively in real professional contexts.

Rather than focusing on tools alone, this AI Lab is designed to help participants practice human-centered decision-making with AI, so technology increases clarity and confidence without eroding judgment, values, or self-trust.

Participants will work hands-on with AI prompts, scenarios, and decision frameworks while learning how to:

  • use AI as a thinking partner rather than an authority,

  • recognize when AI is helpful vs. inappropriate,

  • and maintain ethical, embodied, human accountability in fast-moving environments.

Key Distinction:
This is not a “how to prompt ChatGPT” workshop. It is a discernment lab for professionals navigating career transitions, leadership decisions, and complex choices with AI in the mix.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify where AI adds value (analysis, synthesis, drafting) and where human judgment must remain primary

  • Recognize common AI misuse patterns (over-reliance, false confidence, values drift)

  • Apply a simple four-part decision framework (Head, Heart, Body, AI) to real work scenarios

  • Use AI without undermining:

    • professional credibility

    • ethical clarity

    • or personal agency

  • Leave with practical prompts and guardrails they can use immediately in job search, leadership, consulting, or career pivots
