ABOUT THE SPEAKER
A gifted mathematician, web designer, growth marketer, business coach, career strategist, LinkedIn trainer and former aerospace engineer, Dr. Tournier has an affinity for learning, technology, and things “out-of-this-world.” At age 24, inspired by a powerful Dream, Jean-Michel came to the States in search of his Soulmate (he found her on the Ballroom dance floor…), and simultaneously secured an Aerospace and Nuclear Engineering doctoral degree. A former University Professor, Keynote Speaker, and internationally recognized author of more than 150 publications, he worked closely with NASA, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and US National Laboratories designing spacecraft to send astronauts to Mars and Jupiter. It’s the reason his friends and clients affectionately call him “The LinkedIn Rocket Scientist,” or ‘The Captain’ (after the French captain, Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise Starship), because they keep mispronouncing his name. In 2015, Jean-Michel melded online branding, SEO, web technology and software engineering with coaching, his first love, and founded “Spotlighting You on the Web.” Jean-Michel has helped hundreds of clients discover their “Ikigai” or Reason of Being, transition smoothly into reinvented dream careers, and jump-start and grow successful businesses using his breakthrough LinkedIn branding, networking, and marketing strategies system: “Breaking the ICE”: Impress, Connect, Engage.
