Effectively Navigating the Ups and Downs of Your Job Search
Job searching can be rough – sending resumes that get no response; feeling overqualified for the jobs that are available; sometimes not knowing where to start! And that’s just the practical part.
In this workshop, Brian will cover all aspects of job searching – practical, emotional, physical, and spiritual, including:
● Strategic networking that values your time and energy
● Focusing on your transferable skills that can work across job fields
● Affordable self-care
● Coping with grief and disappointment
● Establishing a supportive community and dealing with (inner and outer) critics
● Cultivating joy, no matter the circumstance
You will also get time in pairs or breakout groups to discuss your needs and aspirations, whether you are unemployed or ready to move on from your current role. You are capable and experienced, and the world needs you! We all need help to chart our path; use this session as a springboard to success.
About the Speaker
Brian Schwartz is a seasoned coach, mediator, facilitator, and trainer who leads with empathy. He brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and a passionate commitment to intercultural understanding to every client engagement. With a nimble ability to see all sides of an issue, Brian has facilitated diversity, equity, and inclusion training in settings ranging from schools to board rooms to houses of worship.
His holistic approach has helped dozens of clients become more effective leaders, find new and better positions, and balance both personal and professional challenges while thriving.
As Owner and Principal of BSCC, Brian coaches executives, managers and leaders in various fields and leads teams focused on effective stakeholder engagement, strategic communications and building equitable consensus.
