ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Lead with your feet, not your fingers. After 25 years of rising the ranks in the Navy, Dr. Tommy Nash discovered that the formula for effective leadership was derived from being in front and moving forward rather than pointing and commanding deferential ranks.
After graduating high school, a class of 33 pupils, in a dirt-road town, Tommy sought out a career in the Navy. His leadership transformation mentality started within, realizing that where you start has little to do with how far you go. Tommy uses his passion for education to lead his team to the extremes of efficiency by way of shared leadership and clear communication. He advises against an archaic form of managerial style, replacing this format with the acronym that motivated his narrative, RISE. Remember thy path, Inspire all at arm's length, Stomp out fear, and Elevate teammates. Now, a program manager for TSA, he leads his team to the extremes of efficiency by way of shared leadership and clear communication. He advises against an archaic form of managerial style, replacing this format with the acronym that motivated his narrative, RISE. Remember thy path, Inspire all at arm's length, Stomp out fear, and Elevate teammates. Through Trust, Adaptability, Perseverance, and Critical Reflection, Dr. Tommy Nash shares proven naval ideas of leadership that benefit civilian businesses with the intent of improving worker relations.
