ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Millree Williams is a Strategic Communications Consultant and Coach who crafts and executes communications and messaging strategy to optimally position organizations, their missions and their leaders to build support and sustain loyalty. His expertise and experience are in defining and executing innovative strategies aimed at engaging audiences, shaping opinion, and compelling action.
With more than 20 years of organizational, consulting and coaching experience, Milree has led university, nonprofit and public health teams to build successful and lasting organizational brand and storytelling platforms, communications strategies, stakeholder engagement and loyalty. His leadership has always been hallmarked by building collaborative teams that felt connected, and that grew and empowered members.
When he lost his leadership position several years ago, and after a long period of time trying unsuccessfully – and frustratingly -- to find a new position that leveraged his expertise, he made the personal decision to pivot; to follow his passion and become who he really wanted to be: someone in charge of his own destiny, who is trained and empowered to help others become their best selves.
He created Willekop Consulting and Coaching, LLC, a specialized communications consulting and coaching firm that provides seasoned expertise in positioning organizations and guiding business leaders and individuals as they create and execute next-level transformation.
As a consultant, Milree helps clients achieve their organizational goals by more strategically articulating their mission, values, priorities, and strengths to their key stakeholders. The result? Improved positioning, stronger and more expansive support, and confidence in crisis management, resulting in longer-lasting brand loyalty. As a CTA-trained coach, he works with individuals, small businesses and business owners -- especially those pivoting in the midst of this pandemic period -- to build awareness, drive business and improve market share.
He has a BA in English and Philosophy from Bowie State University, with a graduate certificate in leadership development from the Harvard University School of Graduate Education. He has also completed training programs in leadership, strategy, emotional intelligence, and change management.
