Working for Uncle Sam: Seeking
SES and Government Jobs
On Friday, June 25th, President Biden signed an Executive Order establishing diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility as priorities for this Administration. That means agencies’ hiring and promotion practices are going to be more closely scrutinized to ensure inclusion of persons from underserved communities. Now is a great time for you to be considering a federal career.
If you have every thought about working for the Federal Government but didn’t know where to start and just felt overwhelmed by the process, this presentation will help you put all of that to rest. If you have never considered becoming a Fed because you don’t know anyone, we will address that as well as how to present yourself in the best possible light.
You also may not have considered the Senior Executive Service, the federal government’s highest level of civilian service. The labyrinth of key words, KSAs, ECQs, ATS – and other terms and acronyms -- will also be discussed. Using a step-by-step approach, Carol will take you through the process and show you how working for the federal government may just be your best career move yet!
Carol will address these issues and many more, suggesting you seriously consider making federal service the next stop on your career ladder. Carol will provide tips and resources that you can utilize immediately.
