Zooming With Confidence
Like it or not, the job search has been thrust into the world of remote networking and video discussions. A number of different, and often unfamiliar, tools have risen from occasional to everyday use. The most widely used of these tools is Zoom. This presentation will provide you with the information you need to use Zoom with confidence.
We will present a brief review of the tools you may encounter in remote interactions. Then we will focus on using Zoom. We'll start with the basics that you need to know for every Zoom meeting you participate in. Then we will address more advanced topics that you may not use often, but need to be familiar with. At some point you may need to run your own Zoom meeting - we'll talk about that, too. Finally, we'll discuss security concerns with Zoom and what steps have been taken to overcome these concerns.
Ron Moore is a business owner that has been operating in our new Zoom-oriented world since mid-March. In this world, he has transitioned from face-to-face networking events and one-on-one meetings to their virtual equivalents. Ron also serves as a volunteer and board member with 40Plus. In those roles, he has been called upon to provide Zoom instruction to other volunteers within the organization.
