ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

I’ve been a member of the Perennial Workforce since 2001.  At the age of 42, I left the Fortune 500 utility company where I had worked since the age of 17, moved to Washington DC and reinvented my professional life to better align with my passion. This electrical engineer became an image and brand consultant! During the next 16 years, I worked with CEOs, nonprofits, government agencies, corporations, incarcerated youth and a host of individuals to help define and implement their intentional image/brand. In 2016, an opportunity to form a new company with a business partner was presented. As CEO of Consult DSA, a Woman-Owned Small Business, I have come full circle, combining logic with creativity to provide management consulting services and organizational effectiveness solutions to a variety of companies and governmental agencies.

An electrical engineer from Michigan State University, Marva obtained a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government at the age of 42. She is a Leadership Coach from the ICF-accredited Georgetown University.
