Monday Morning Speaker Presentation: KATHERINE METRES

Cover Letters and Resumes that Score the Interview.

With KATHERINE METRES, the president Your Edge for Success (YES) LLC.
After attending this presentation, you'll begin to be able to do the following:
• Understand what makes employers put you in the 'interview,' 'don't interview,' or 'maybe interview' pile

• Find out how most candidates waste the cover letter opportunity and how to use it
instead to connect the dots

• Learn how to take your resume from good to an answer to the employer's prayer

Do you fit into one of these categories or have other questions about using your cover letters and resume to get more interviews?

"Everyone says my resume looks great, but I'm not getting enough interviews."

"I want to make an industry change, and I'm not sure how to position my experience."

"I'm willing to take a pay and responsibility cut for better job security and time with my family, but I seem overqualified, and no one will interview me."

"I want to differentiate myself from all the other competent candidates, and I'm not sure how to do that in the limited time HR people spend reading my resume."

Please join us for our next career development session with KATHERINE METRES who will lead an interactive workshop on how to sell your skills to an employer who can provide you an ideal career opportunity.

Katherine will show real-life examples of applications she received when she was hiring for various positions, and participants will have the chance to consider them from the employer's point of view:  What works in these documents?  What doesn't work?  Would you interview this candidate?

Bring a job description for an open position, draft cover letter, and resume, and you may have the opportunity to get Katherine's and the group's feedback.

Katherine will be joined by Certified Professional Resume Writer GREG FAHERTY, who will participate via speaker phone.
