Statement of Support: 

As an organization that empowers experienced professionals, managers, and executives for successful career transitions, 40Plus of Greater Washington serves professionals of all races and ethnicities. We stand firm in our support of all people who have been affected by the horrendous racist and violent acts in our country.

We condemn the police brutality that led to the tragic and needless death of George Floyd, along with others before him such as Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile and Eric Garner. We also condemn the violence, bigotry and systemic racism that has occurred during the past 400 years, particularly against black men and women in our nation. Furthermore, we stand firmly against discrimination of any kind including age discrimination, which frustrates many of our members during their search for new employment.

We offer our condolences to the family of George Floyd, his friends and loved ones. As a way to honor his memory, we stand ready to work with other agencies and community-based organizations, along with the community at large, to end injustice in all its forms against the oppressed and all persons of color.

Charles Greene III

Charles Greene III is a presentation magician.  For more than 25 years, Charles has delivered corporate messages with customized corporate presentations at trade shows and sales meetings around the globe.  His client list includes 3M, Alcon, Frito-Lay, J&J, Monsanto, Panasonic and Texaco.

Charles divides his time between leading workshops on presentation skills and communicating product messages at corporate events.  Both place him front and center before business audiences of all sizes.  From Beijing to Boston to Berlin, he has presented in fifteen different countries on five continents.

Greene is a guest columnist for Presentation Magazine.  He has been featured in Discover, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Robb Report.  Greene is a member of Hollywood’s The Magic Castle and London’s The Magic Circle.

Charles was born in Hackensack, NJ.  He currently resides in the Columbia Heights area of Washington, DC.

  1. Leave the Dupont Circle Metro Station by the 19th Street SOUTH exit.
  2. At the top of the escalator (street level), turn 180 degrees, and walk a short distance towards Dupont Circle.
  3. Turn right and walk counter-clockwise around the outside of the Circle, past Connecticut and Massachusetts Avenues.
  4. At P Street, turn right . Proceed on P Street past 18th Street.
