Empowering Experienced Professionals for Successful Career Transitions

Statement of Support:

As an organization that empowers experienced professionals, managers, and executives for successful career transitions, 40Plus of Greater Washington serves professionals of all races and ethnicities. We stand firm in our support of all people who have been affected by the horrendous racist and violent acts in our country.

We condemn the police brutality that led to the tragic and needless death of George Floyd, along with others before him such as Breonna Taylor, Philando Castile and Eric Garner. We also condemn the violence, bigotry and systemic racism that has occurred during the past 400 years, particularly against black men and women in our nation. Furthermore, we stand firmly against discrimination of any kind including age discrimination, which frustrates many of our members during their search for new employment.

We offer our condolences to the family of George Floyd, his friends and loved ones. As a way to honor his memory, we stand ready to work with other agencies and community-based organizations, along with the community at large, to end injustice in all its forms against the oppressed and all persons of color.

with Carole Stizza, certified Business Life and Leadership Coach

Have you ever wondered what the interviewer really wants to hear?

Come learn from a prior HR strategist and I-O Psychology major (you know, the people who invented the dreaded Behavior-Based Questions) who now coaches on this topic to learn what makes the difference in an interview answer.

Carole Stizza, ACC, SHRM-SCP

Carole Stizza is a ICF certified Business Life and Leadership Coach, Sr. Certified H.R. Professional, and a Strength Strategy Specialist who now consults, trains, and coaches working parents on their way up in their career success.

She holds a master’s in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and has been responsible for supporting a military family across the U.S. for 26 years until landing in Northern Virginia. During the many military relocations, she reached top leadership levels in sales organizations by crafting solid recruitment and customer service methods, consulted for the National Confectioners Association’s Annual convention for over 10 years in customer service and facilitation roles, transitioned into human resource roles to maximize her impact on organizational effectiveness, and now coaches emerging executives and teams to elevate engagement.

She speaks regularly and is a contributing author in: Compassion @ work (2017) and Coach Wisdom Vol 1 (2019). She currently helps individuals and companies optimize strength strategies, maximize feedback tools, expand employee engagement, and improve interview success.
